Pretty in Pink B-Day Card

My older sister (Maryline) is turning (70) soon..
Oh she will be mad that I posted her age..LOL
So I made this card for her...because her birthday
is in February I also added some embellishment with
hearts..
For the background I used the floral cuttlebug folder... doodlecharm
cricut cartridge for the mailbox, letters and tiny hearts...
cotton & sheer ribbon to the left of the card...
This was easy and fun to do....
The idea for the card came from: Little Creation Corner

CARDZ TV...
I found this new web site while I was surfing the internet...
Mary uses Cricut Cartridges and explain step by step
her cards and project...
I like her approach on her instructions, she explain every
thing from the size of her card to all the sizes of the images...
Here is a card she had on her site...I didn't make it exactly
like hers I wanted to add my own touch to my card...
It was pretty simple to do...I also made these for my Valentine Card Exchange on
Card Maker and my grand children Valentine cards...

My bookmarks are for a swap that Karen is doing on Card Maker...
I try very hard to be frugal with my paper stash and I had to come up with
a very good idea on what to used for my bookmarks...
I used cardstock as my base and then I used Martha Stewart border
punch for a lacy effect...for the main part of the bookmark I used
the side of a tissue box...Today there is so many pretty tissue box
and I have so many from friends and family that my stash is big...
I added American Ribbon for the only embellishment...
They're simple but simple can be pretty...

Wow, what a busy holidays....but to be honest I'm glad that it is over...
I didn't even decorate this season so I have nothing to put away but my Christmas cards...
I did have a nice Christmas and Birthday (day after Chrsitmas) I went to Ithaca N.Y. to surprise my sister and it was a surprise...just wished we could of stayed longer...
Had New Year Eve over my daughter Nicole and had a great time...
because I wasn't home for my birthday my daughters did on New Year Eve..
and this time I was surprised..as a birthday gift I received a brand new RED Cricut
Expression...It is really beautiful..I'm not a red person but this item is really great..
plus two new cartridge to go with it....My daughters were very generous...Gotta love them..
Very proud of them not just for this gift but through out the whole year...they are very good with gifts and their love...
Now that 2010 rolled in I'm wondering what this year will bring...to me a new year is a scary one cause I don't know what is around the corner...I lost a brother 21/2 yrs ago and still have a hard time dealing with it so that year was a sad one...I know you can always expect good news all the time but sad news is very depressing....
Wishing all a Happy New Year and Happy Crafting.....
