for my grandchildren, family & friends.

Once a week during December I hide these special

little treats around their houses.

Then the first of January we fill the

grandchildren stocking with more special treats.

The tree tag is from my stash that I collect

at the end of the Holiday Season.

I try to go a day or two the after Christmas

and pick these tags up, every year they have some nice ones.

All of the card is all white except the tree and sentiment.

I also used Crafter's Companion falling snow embossed folder.

Yellow Ornament

Believe it or not this hanging ornament

is a gift tag that I had for many years.

I never toss anything away at one time or

another it will come in handy.

The tiny snowflake on the top left corner

is from a Hobby Lobby Blue Christmas

The sentiment is from Diamond Press stamp set.

Winter Wreath

Recollections from Michael's had a super

nice Ephemera package and this one

fit the challenge for W.

I again used the Peppermint Stripe Paper Pad

from Hobby Lobby, a strip of gold leftover paper.

I also used peel-off border strip on the side of the gold paper.

A red bow from my stash and voila the card is done.

Vellum

Took a sheet of vellum and ran it through

Crafter's Companion falling dots embossed folder.

I then layered the vellum over the 

pattern paper to add a soft touch for

the front of the card.

The strip is the backside of the pattern paper,

added a simple tag with gold trim.

The pattern paper is from Hobby Lobby

Peppermint Stripe paper pad.

U Fold/ Bridge Card

I followed Beccy's instructions on how to make

this card from her Card Shape Forum.

Her measurement was 6x10 I changed it

to 5x10 so it could fit in a 5x7 envelope.

The score line is the same as Beccy's.

Card stock by Recollections, the flowered paper

is from DCVW from many years ago.  The tiny poinsettias

from Spellbinders, the sentiment is from Diamond Press stamp.

Tri-Fold Card

Wow, where did the time go, we are up to

the Letter T in Beccy's November Card & Challenge.

There is only 8 more days to go, it's been 

fantastic so far.  Got to make the best of

what is left of this month.

This trifold is easy and simple and the

paper that is used makes the card a beauty.

I used a Hobby Lobby Pattern Paper Pad

"Blue Christmas"

(I think I bought this pad because of its name

it is my favorite song from Elvis) lol

The snowflake on the bellyband is also from 

Hobby Lobby.

Silver

This card fun to make since I only use

silver as part of layering and not a focus point.

I did black ink to stamp the sentiment, for

some reason my sliver ink was kinda dried up 

it didn't show up well.

Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer

Rudolph is one popular reindeer in any

shape or form.

The reindeer head is from Spellbinders, you either add 

the red nose or not it's still a cute reindeer.

This whole card was made from leftover Christmas

Quilting

My mother & sister are wondaful quilters.

My Mom was a quilter with squares upon squares.

My sister was the one with intrigue patterns.

As for me I did a baby quilt that is where it started

and that is where it ended. 

Now and then I'll make a quilt card for my sister 

or for a challenge.

The pattern paper is from leftover paper from a 

Hobby Lobby paper pad.

Plaid

Matching your embellishment with your pattern paper is important.

I thought white snowflake and sentiment would match the plaid

and when I put it together the white was not a good match.

The cream in the plaid was not totally white so I had

to die cut the snowflake & sentiment to match the cream in

the plaid.

Matching everything before putting the card

together is so important so you don't have to redo

the card over again.

This card has more of masculine feel to it or

a country log home feel.

Origami Window Card

This card & fold was a big challenge for me.

I can't begin to tell you how many times I tried to make 

this origami fold perfect.

I tried different sizes but ended with a 4x4 square.

No matter how accurate I cut the square I was always off.

I used pattern paper from a Hobby Lobby paper pad, 

ribbon from my stash and I small sentiment tag.

I guess I need to practice, practice, practice more.

Napkin Card

The napkin technique is a favorite

of mine, with so many styles for any

occasion. I love the feel of the napkin 

after it's glued down on a card stock, it

has a soft texture to the touch.

This napkin had 4 side to it, and I couldn't

discard the other side when I made the first card.

So, I made two cards, one bookmark & the one in

the front is a gift card holder all from one napkin.

I added red glitter glue & hollies here and there.

Moose

&

 Merry Christmas

What's not to love about this awesome Moose.

The moose is from Beccy's Digital Image.

I fussy cut it then I inked around it to

cover the white core from the card stock.

The black snowflakes background is from

Hobby Lobby. paper pad 

The sentiment from Spellbinders.

I did add silver glitter glue on the snowflakes.

Lattice

When I found this lattice cut from Wild Card

Cricut Cartridge I was amazed because

I didn't need a die to cut it out.

I could cut it at any size for any

occasion or color.

The lattice was cut at 5-1/4.

I mounted it on red cardstock then added an

Cardinal ephemera from Recollections.

The branches were cut from Diamond Press &

Martha Steward Dies & Punch.

Added red glitter glue.

All glued to a 4-1/4 by 5-1/2 green card base.

Humorous

This took a lot of thinking but

as I was thinking I saw a cup with a

Pickle handle that our granddaughter 

gave to Vince for his birthday.  They

tease each other about having a "pickle puss" face.

He has a cup, key chains, a pickle ornament & lots of cards.

The granddaughter also has a key chain & ornament & cards too.

It's a joke between the two of them which started a few

years back and still continue as of today, especially at

Christmas of who will outdo each other with a pickle gift.

(I will make two)

I used Cricut Expression "Just Because" Cartridge cut @ 6-1/2.

Peach Keen stamp for the face, a Santa hat, used

a dotted embossed folder for the body of the pickle.

Kris Kringle

The Kris Kringle image is from a 

sample Christmas card that my sister gave

to me, her husband gets these sample cards

every year from an association that he donates to.

Because I'm a hoarder of this and that why use it when

I can.  I have used them here and there when it fits

the occasion. The majority of these cards are more

for the Christmas Season or wildlife.

I like this old version of the Kris Kringle.

Ho Ho Ho

My granddaughter asks if Santa will be coming to her house

this Christmas because of all what is happening in

this world...

Just to let her know secretly that Santa

is thinking of her I will mail her this card

with my fake signature of Santa.

But she also knows that it is Jesus's birthday.

Easy card to make with Hobby Lobby Christmas

paper pad with Momento Alphabet dies.

The Santa is gift tag peeking through

the circle die.

Joy

I used my Cricut Expression (yes, I still use it)

Winter Woodland Cartridge

cut the word Joy @ 4 inches, the shadow also @  4

inches for the outline.

Added a snow sleigh picture behind the letter O.

Background from a paper pad from Hobby Lobby.

Inked with Oxide Distress Photo Vintage around the edge of the

word Joy, finished the card with 3 tiny holly leaves

with red glitter glue.

Letter I

Iris Folding

I thought long and hard about what to do 

for the letter I and I wanted to change it up but 

my first love of card making was Iris Folding.

I always love doing this technique, so I thought

why change it.  I have many patterns when I was on

a site of Iris Folding.

When I do this technique, I never turn it around

until I finish the layering and following the number sequence.

I'm always amazed of the finished technique.

I used Oxide Distress Peeled Paint on a scrap of paper for the leaves, 

I also added Oxide Distress Vintage Photo on the fold

of the paper. Scrap of red glitter card stock for the berries.

The large sentiment is from Diamond Press Die.

Happy Holiday

I tried a new technique for me it's called

Gap Open Card.

It was fairly easy to do but next time

I will add more layers on the word

that holds the top & bottom together.

Learning new technique has always been

thrilling to me and seeing how it was done.

I think the next time I would make my letters a bit 

taller.

I used a new Paper Pad from Hobby Lobby,

Glitter Glue for the berries, Crafters Campion Letter Die,

a MFP Stamp.

Gold

I used many products to make this gold card.

It's so nice that we crafters can use

multiple dies & stamps to make 

our cards unique.

I used Spellbinders, Diamond Press & Tim Holtz dies,

Darice embossed snowflakes folder, gem from Hobby Lobby.

Card Stock from Michael's, Gold card stock from the Dollar Tree Store.

I was all over the place with this card.

But for sure it was fun putting it all together.

Complementary Colors

Red & Green

I was going to go outside my comfort zone

and pick another complement color but I decided to stay with

Christmas colors.  I do like other combo colors for

the Holiday Season they are pretty to look at, but

I'm a traditional kind of person.

My middle daughter does her tree in different colors

each year, last year she did purple & pink it was pretty but

not for me (lol)

Maybe next year I'll be more daring.

Floating Cards

This floating technique is a fun one to do

with paper scrap, which I did with the top card

the bottom card I used paint chips.

Using acetate to layer the strip of paper, then cutting the

circle with a circle die, adding foam tape behind the

strip to give it it's effect of floating onto the card.

I also like the shadow it creates on the card.

The tiny poinsettia is from Spellbinders & the 

snowflake from Hobby Lobby. Both sentiments

from Diamond Press.

Letter E

Explosion Card

The card is a 4x4 with the explosion paper being 

8-1/4 by 8-1/4 (I had to trim the bottom part of the paper so

it could fit perfectly inside the card.)

This was an easy fold,

I followed the tutorial from Beccy's Card Fold

for the exploding fold.

The pattern paper I had in my stash for a very long time

considering I love snowflakes and with the new snowflake that 

I got from Hobby Lobby they went well together.

The sentiments were from Spellbinders & Diamond Press.

Diamond Painting

I came upon this trend of Diamond Painting

a while ago, I think I started too big with a large

portrait of an Eagle for my better half (I found it too boring) I

gave it to my daughter and she finished it turned out really

nice.

So, I got these diamond painting ornaments which was better than the large Eagle.

I knew I wanted them for some Christmas cards so I just added

a shiny backing to the ornament, sprig branches and a ribbon.

Voila, something I was happy with.

Cube Card

I just learned to make this cube card technique.

Its looks harder than it is.

The cubes are in three blocks, 

one tall and two smaller one.

Glue them together add your paper or card stock.

I loved adding the Poinsettias..... again, to go with

dimensions of the cube I added one large and two small

poinsettias. I then added a square sentiment inside the cube.

Boxes

Every Christmas I make treat boxes

for the grandchildren.

The top of the boxes is made from

leftover scrap of Holiday paper.  I decorate

the top that goes along with the 

pattern paper.

Every week in December I will have other

fun projects to pass out from Santa.

The older grandchildren already know that I pass these 

out but I still have a younger one who still

believes in Santa.

I even include the boyfriend.

I've been doing this tradition for over 20 years.

Angle Cards

Started with an A2 card base (4-1/4 x 5-1/2),

with a double-sided pattern paper from a paper & card magazine

cut down to 4-1/4 x 4-1/4  took my paper trimmer cut it in an angle

top at 3-1/4 down to 1-1/4.

Flipped one of the pattern papers added to my card base

Having double sided paper, I did two cards.

Added sentiments & embellishments to both cards.
