"Do What You Love"

This year for the November Challenges

I focus on making Poinsettia cards.

They are my favorite flower or plant

during the festive Holiday.

I have several dies and still looking

for more. (LOL)

I have an artificial plant that has tiny

little lights that I light up at night.

My daughter crocheted me a Poinsettia plant

and coasters.

I had a real plant one year and it was 

alive for 2 years.

Warm Winter Wishes

& Wax Seal

This is a very simple card.

I think I always use the same stamp & die

each year (lol) for this challenge.

 I do change the background & placement.

This year I got some wax seal and I'm still trying

to get a perfect circle out of the wax.

This one it took me three tries and still

got a small bubble at the bottom of the wax.

I don't do perfect, but I do give it my best.

Vintage

This card was made with bits & piece,

ribbon from my mother, 

 old Christmas cards from my sister

(Santa & border frame)

I save everything and with time I get

to used them on my cards.

The only thing I added was the small

poinsettia flowers.

Case "Yourself"

I go hunting for gift tags 

at the end of the Holiday Season.

I look for tags that I can use on making

cards with.

These ornament tags are perfect and so easy

to put on a card.

This year I cased myself and used the green ornament 

with red shinny paper as a layer.

As you can see here it's a yellow ornament

that I made last year.

I changed the color, placement & sentiment

for this year "case yourself" challenge.

Twisted Ribbon

This the first time I tried doing the

twisted ribbon technique.

I enjoyed doing it and it was great 

using scraps.

I plan to do more of this technique.

I also put the starburst sideway.

Such a simple technique to do.

Could be used for any occasions,

with any pattern paper.

Red

A while back I started putting together some

master board of scraps of the same color combo.

This master board was made from the color of 

light, medium & dark reds.

I added a poinsettia & sentiment for

the Holiday.

Purple & Poinsettia

Yes, I'm back with another poinsettia card, for

some reason I just can't stop using my

poinsettia dies.  

I also have a poinsettia fake plant that I have

out yearlong with tiny little light at the tip

of the leaves also my daughter crocheted a

 poinsettia plant for me too.

I just love them.

I did have a real plant and I had it for 2 years.

I have no idea what happen to it, but it started to lose

it's leaves finally all I had was a stem.

I think I will get another one this year.

Ornaments

The only joy I get from a 

sleepiness night is that I can

craft all night long.

The ornaments are from gift tags

that I get and the end of the Holiday

Season at a discount price.

Added silver ribbon to match

the embossed silver in the ornaments.

A simple card & easy to do.

Non-Traditional Color

 Gray

Another poinsettia card only

this time in a non-traditional color

of gray.

Inked with black soot on the edges of

the leaves & the sentiment.

Also splatter with some ink.

Multi Diamond Panel Card

This style of card came from

Beccy's Place card fold forum on

her site.

Her instructions are so easy to follow, 

the only problem I had is picking

the pattern paper & coordination

card stock.

Adding another poinsettia was easy

to match my paper with the flower.

Hexagon Pop-Up Card

This style of pop-up card came

from Beccy's Place card fold

on her site. Her directions were

easy to follow.

The only issue was what to pick as

my focal image in the large circle.

For me it was easy a Poinsettia of course.

Fractured Cards

When you can't sleep, go to the craft

table and create.

It's good for the soul at this moment.

I'm glad that I got good advice to

do something to ease my mind.

I didn't think it would help but it does.

A simple card with some pattern paper,

1/4 strip of cardstock & an embellishment.

Same but Different

I just love Poinsettias, so my cards are the same but in different. 

color of blue & pink, gold & silver

and reversed embossing folder.

I know I said I wasn't going to join in this challenge because of

the passing on my life partner BUT my daughters

told me not to give up on my love of card making I also know

Vince would want me to do it too.
