Speedy Fox anf Friends Challenge # 191

The challenge on Speedy Fox & Friends is to make a Christmas Birthday Card. I pick the red, white and green colors for my card the banners from my Christmas paper collection..I added a few branches from Martha Stewart punch and red dots...The Happy Birthday sentiment came from
MFP "Saying Galore" stamp set.

Speedy TV Tutorial Challenge # 80

This week challenge on Speedy TV Tutorial is by Lis Robson and she had coloring acrylic beads...I used Stampin Up blue alcohol ink.  It took all morning for it to be totally dry and then polish it with clear nail polish.
I threaded my bead in the middle of my snowflakes I also added two more hanging from my bow..the sentiment came from MFP Christmas Wreath Mini Stamp Set.
This card will not be able to be mail out through the post office but I will hand deliver it to someone special.

This week on Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge is
"Purple Christmas".  My card has light and dark purple cardstock.
The snowflake folder on vellum I added lilac ink behind it so it has purple tint to it, purple stickles in the cemter of the snowflakes...Clear embossing powder on the purple strip..

The theme is "Green Christmas" for the challenge on Speedy Fox and Friends. My card is made with green shiny wrapping paper.  The technique is Iris Folding, I added green snowflake from the same wrapping paper and green stitch line with a marker, green cardstock for the base of the card.

I like making snowflake cards and I like it a lot on Christmas Eve to have a bit of snow and watching it glitter all over the ground.
Once I was driving in the snow and the way the lights were hitting the road it looked like it was silver snow it was so beautiful with the trees all covered with this silvery snow.

Monday's Challenge on Friends of Speedy TV is to make a Sympathy Card.
With just losing our mother a couple of weeks ago this was truly a challenge.  The leaf was a new technique of water color paper and water color pencil...I wish I added more red but I think I did okay for the first time ...Sympathy cards are always hard to make but thoughts of warm memories can help to get through the sadness.

Day 10 of the 12 Days of Christmas Challenge Speedy TV

Day 10 was to make Salt Dough Ornament...I had some left over dough and my grand-daughter Molly was over my house so I took her handprint and made a Rudolph Reindeer Ornament. Painted the reindeer dk. brown and added a heart nose, googley eye & pipe cleaner for his antler.

I stamped a riendeer face so I decided to colored the face in dark brown and added google eyes and a rhinestone nose...I think they turned out pretty good even though they are dark..

Day 9 of the 12 Days of Christmas Challenge on Speedy TV is another challenge by Jane. " Craft Stick Sleigh Ornament" this one was a bit of a
challenge for me...I didn't have the small size of the craft sticks I only had the larger one but I mange to cut them in half and put my sleigh together.
I love the idea of making handmade ornaments and put them in a tree.

Tutorial Time Challenge with Jane

Jane is the hostess this week on Speedy TV her tutorial is working with a paper bag using embossing folders.
I used my favorite snowflake embossing folder and I also embossed my little trees with the swiss dots folder.  Top of the bag with a snowflake border punch. Bottom of the bag I used a designer paper with an added white ribbon and red background.

"Milk Shakes" are the pictures for the Inspiration Challenge at Speedy TV.
They all look so yummy but I like the candy corn milk shake. I used a paint chip to do my candy corn and added the color that was in the picture of that milk shake...large googly eyes and a yellow bow...This card would be perfect for any occasion during the Halloween season...

I paper pieced the top half of the cowboy boots with pink flowered paper.

Oriental Sketch Challenge

A new challenge has started on Speedy Tv and it's "Oriental Sketch"
This the first time that I ever made a card with the oriental feel to it...
I had this paper that I received in a paper swap, it's very thin paper so I backed it on Gold paper.  I couldn't decide which way to put my strip of paper so as I looked at it it does look like a Kimono Robe (somewhat).

"Cookies" is the Inspiration Challenge on Speedy TV ...I just loved the blue one (which is my favorite color) so it wasn't hard to pick one this week.
I also loved the shapes of the cookies (tea cup & tea pot).

"Thinking of you" is my simple salutations for my card...as I was making this card I was thinking of the lives that was lost on 9/11.  My heart went to the families that lost a loved one.  That will never be forgotten!

I made a black and ivory card with black metal brads and a swirl metal ribbon bracket. This card can go either for a lady or a man.
